3 Men Injured In South L.A. Warehouse Shooting

Three men were critically wounded during a shooting attack Sunday at a South Los Angeles glass warehouse, authorities said.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene at 1150 Lanzit Ave. at 9 a.m., and took three men to area hospitals, said Los Angeles city fire spokesperson Cecil Manresa. Two of the men are in their 50s and one is in his 20s, he said.
Capt. Phillip Tingirides told KFWB Radio that the shooting "doesn't appear to be a gang drive-by."
"The business doesn't have any gang activity, just because of its location and how secluded it is," he said.
The morning attack occurred in a warehouse on Lanzit Street near Central Avenue, about six blocks south of the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway.
Just 12 hours earlier and six blocks further south, a 36-year-old woman was shot and killed during what police said was a gang-related shooting attack at 119th Street and Central. But there was no immediate indication that the two shootings were connected other than their proximity, police said.
The shooting victim, Marlene Donaldson, was attending a party at 119th Street and Central when some unknown suspects from a vehicle approached her at about 9:40 p.m. Saturday and shot her, said LAPD spokesperson Norma Eisenman.
Donaldson was pronounced dead at the scene and the suspects' vehicle was described only as a dark-colored sedan, Eisenman said.
