Wet roads and excessive speed are being blamed Sunday morning for a crash that took the lives of two 19-year-old men in Mission Viejo, according to authorities.
The crash occured about 3:30 a.m. on Los Alisos Boulevard.
The car was headed west when the driver apparently lost control west of Trabuco Road. The car veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Kurt Vesentine said both victims died at the scene.
Their names were withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
The lieutenant said wet roads and speeding were thought to have been contributing factors in the crash.
