Two people were arrested Wednesday morning after they allegedly tried to steal a catalytic converter and led police on a chase on the eastbound 134 Freeway to the Eagle Rock area.
The suspects were in a pickup truck that crashed at 6:30 a.m. at the transition to the southbound 2 Freeway in Glendale, according to Alex Calder, who was overhead in Chopper 2.
After the pickup truck crashed, a man got out of the passenger side and ran across freeway lanes.
Los Angeles Police Department officers followed them, Martin said.
LAPD Officer Julianne Sohn said the suspects were wanted for trying to steal a catalytic converter from a vehicle about 15 minutes before the crash.
