Fatal Crash Snarls Traffic On 10 Freeway

CLAREMONT, Calif. (AP) ― A fatal motorcycle crash snarled traffic on the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway just east of the Los Angeles-San Bernardino County line for more than two hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle collided just before noon on the eastbound freeway at South Mountain Avenue. The three eastbound lanes were expected to be closed much of the afternoon.

The accident happened just west of Ontario International Airport and a stretch of the freeway famous for bottleneck slowdowns during weekday rush hours.

Caltrans reported traffic was backed up through Claremont and Pomona and as far west as the Orange (57) Freeway interchange.
