1 Dead, 2 Injured In Car Crash In Riverside
RIVERSIDE
One person is dead and two were injured after the Honda Civic they were in flew off the road, rolled over several times and landed on its roof under a bridge in downtown Riverside today, police said.
The crash happened at about 2 a.m. today near Victoria Avenue and Woodbine Street, said Riverside police Sgt. Don Taulli.
A 1999 Honda Civic that was traveling at high speeds failed to navigate a slight left curve on Victoria Avenue and flew off the road and 250 feet down
an embankment, rolling over several times in the process, said Taulli.
The car, which had three occupants, landed on its roof under Victoria Bridge, said Taulli.
One of the occupants was pronounced dead at the scene, he said, and two
of the occupants were treated at scene then transported to Riverside Community Hospital, Taulli said.
The victims names have not yet been released, and the accident is still under investigation, Taulli said.
