Jury In O.J. Trial Make Private Visit To Hotel
LAS VEGAS (AP) ―
The jury in the O.J. Simpson armed robbery and kidnapping case made a unannounced visit to the scene of the alleged crime, at the Palace Station casino hotel.
Clark County District Attorney says Judge Jackie Glass selected a reporter to accompany the jury, lawyers and court officers on the morning visit to the hotel.
Roger says Simpson did not make the trip, but his lawyers did.
The start of trial was postponed while the trip took place.
Court information officer Michael Sommermeyer says a videographer and photographer also made the trip. He says it was arranged late Thursday night after the Palace Station granted permission for the visit.
The trip was not announced to the public or media at the courthouse until after it occurred.
