Bynum's Agent Wants Max Contract For His Client

(CBS) After missing the Lakers final 46 regular-season games, Andrew Bynum's agent David Lee wants his client to get a maximum contract extension from the Lakers according to the Press-Enterprise.

Bynum is under contract for about $3.7 million next season under the final season of his rookie contract.

Bynum had said he would take less than the 5 year $80 max deal to remain with the Lakers, but Lee said he is seeking the maximum for his client " He was talking as a 20-year-old," Lee said in a telephone interview Monday. "He had not consulted with his representatives. I think the Lakers know how we feel about this."

The Lakers can begin negotiating with Bynum this Summer.
