KCAL 9 PRESENTS
"THE CARMAX TXT TO WIN SWEEPSTAKES"
1. How to Enter the Contest:
(a) The KCAL9 "CARMAX TXT TO WIN SWEEPSTAKES" will be conducted live on the air during the broadcast of each of fifty-three (53) select Los Angeles Dodgers games and thirty-nine (39) Think BlueTV Dodger Pregame shows scheduled to air in Southern California on KCAL 9-TV.

Viewers must consult their local listings or watch KCAL9-TV for scheduled times of the broadcast game(s) and Pregame show(s) in the Southern California area. KCAL9-TV is not responsible for the cancellation or interruption of any broadcast games or Pregame shows within the contest period due to breaking news coverage, emergency, weather, or technical difficulties. The contest ends for each eligible game after the respective broadcast game has officially ended.
(b) To enter, watch a broadcast of the Think BlueTV Dodger Pregame show or a Los Angeles Dodgers game on KCAL 9-TV on one or all fifty-three (53) days of the contest period for a chance to win. Watch for the viewer trivia question during the Pregame show and/or game and submit your answer by text messaging to the designated number and/or the designated code, as announced during the shows and/or games; or log onto www.kcal9.com, complete the entry form and submit your answer on the designated entry form page. Text messaging phone calls may incur a charge to the caller, dependent upon the caller's cell phone service contract.
(c) All entries become property of the sponsors and will not be returned. Viewers may enter as many times as they wish. Each Text Message and Online entry received will be considered an entry. An online entry submitted is deemed to be made by the holder of the e-mail account.Sponsors are not responsible for technical or computer failures, errors or data loss of any kind, lost or unavailable Internet connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or deleted computer or network transmissions, inability to access any Web site or on-line service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, illegible or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If the Sponsors determine, in their sole discretion, that there is any suspected or actual electronic tampering with the Contest or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, the Sponsors reserve the right to void the entries at issue and/or terminate the Contest and conduct a random drawing to award the prize among all eligible entries received as of the termination date. If the Contest is terminated due to tampering or technical difficulties prior to its expiration date, notice will be posted at www.kcal9.com. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsors which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsors reserve the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any entrant that tampers with the operation of the Contest or website or violates the Official Rules of the Contest.
(d) By use of this website and by entering the Contest, you agree to the Station's Web Site Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at: www.kcal9.com.
(e) Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
(a) The contest is open to Southern California residents who are 18 years of age or older. Employees of TxtStation, CarMax Business Services, LLC, Los Angeles Dodgers, LLC, Major League Baseball, KCAL 9-TV, KCBS-TV, CBS Corporation, other television and radio stations in the Los Angeles market, and their affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising agencies and their immediate family members and persons living in the same household are ineligible to participate or win.
(b) Viewers are eligible to win a KCAL9-TV and KCBS-TV contest only once every sixty days. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.
(c) Viewers are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six months.
(d) All entries become the sole property of Station and will not be returned. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, and warrant and represent that their entry is their original work, and grant to Station the right to edit, publish, promote and otherwise use their entries without further permission, notice or compensation.
3. Prizes:
Grand Prize Package: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive: A trip for two (2) to the Dodgers 2009 Training Camp in Glendale, Arizona, which will include: airfare for two (2) from Los Angeles to Phoenix, Arizona or nearby airports, 2 night/3 day hotel accommodations for two (2), three (3) days compact rental car with unlimited mileage, and two (2) admission tickets to two (2) games during Dodger Training Camp. Total Value of the Grand Prize Package: $1,800.00.
Secondary Prizes:
A total of fifty-three (53) secondary prizes will be awarded during each of the fifty-three (53) eligible broadcast games during the contest period.
Secondary Prize Winners will each receive one (1) pair of tickets to a 2008 Los Angeles Dodgers game. Value of each pair of tickets: $60.00
(a) All other costs and expenses in connection with winner's receipt and use of the prize(s) are the winner's sole responsibility. Prize Winners are responsible for all other expenses not specifically set forth herein, including gratuities, other transportation, expenses and other incidentals. Inability of the prize winner(s) to accept prize, as stated, will result in forfeiture of prize and an alternative winner will be chosen. Other restrictions may apply.
(b) Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash. Station reserves the right to substitute prize of comparable value.
(c) The winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
(e) All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of KCAL 9-TV, 4200 Radford Avenue, Studio City, CA 91604. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within five (5) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, the winner assumes the risk of its arrival. KCBS-TV/KCAL9-TV is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
4. Selection of Winners:
(a) Secondary Prize Winners:
At the conclusion of each of the eligible fifty-three (53) games during the contest period, one winner will be chosen through a random drawing from all Online and Txt Messaging entries received with the correct answer to the Trivia Question of the day.

Grand Prize Winner:
Each of the fifty-three (53) preliminary winners automatically become eligible to win the Grand Prize Package. One Grand Prize Winner will be chosen at random from the fifty-three (53) secondary prize winning entries on Monday, September 29, 2008.
(b) A representative of KCAL 9-TV will contact the winner(s) by telephone. If KCAL9-TV is unable to locate the winner(s) based on the information provided on the entry form within 48 hours of the drawing, an alternate winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries. The Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return to KCAL9-TV an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability form immediately upon notification. Inability to do so will result in a forfeiture of the Grand Prize and an alternate winner will be selected.
5. Conditions:
(a) Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner and winners may receive an IRS Form 1099 or equivalent from Station.
(b) By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest, and to sign a publicity release, affidavit of eligibility and release of liability prior to acceptance of the prize. Unless a member of winner's immediate family, travel companion must be 18 years of age or older. Travel companion must travel with winner and must also sign and return a travel release, which must be returned with winner's affidavit of eligibility. Winner and travel companion must travel together and must be available to travel on the specified trip dates as offered. Station reserves the right to change trip dates and specifications and/or to substitute a prize of equal value. By accepting the prize, each winner grants to Station the right to use the winner's name, voice, picture and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and publicity in any and all media now known or hereafter invented, without further permission or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). All expenses on receipt and use of prize, and all federal, state and local taxes, are the sole responsibility of winner. Winners, by acceptance of their prizes, agree to release TxtStation, CarMax Business Services, LLC, Los Angeles Dodgers, LLC, Major League Baseball, KCAL 9-TV, KCBS-TV, CBS Corporation, their respective parents and subsidiaries, officers, directors, shareholders and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity.
6. Contest sponsors reserve the right to make changes in the rules of the contest which will become effective upon announcement.
7. No purchase necessary. The contest is void where prohibited.
8. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification.
