Supporting Our Troops As Easy As Buying Jim Beam

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― Stocking up your liquor cabinet has just turned patriotic.

Buy a bottle of Jim Beam this summer and part of the proceeds will go to either of 2 non-profit organizations aimed at helping America's military, firefighters and their families.

Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and morale assistance to troops, their families and wounded warriors.

The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund helps firefighters and their families with educational, medical and equipment needs.

Look for select Jim Beam bottles bearing a customized logo for either of the two charities at select stores. The campaign starts Memorial Day and runs through the Fourth of July.

Last year, Jim Beam donated more than $250,000 to Operation Homefront. The company has donated $200,000 to the Farrell Fund over the last four years.
