Musician Documents His Own Battle With Leukemia

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― In the new film "Dear Jack", musician Andrew McMahon documents his personal battle with leukemia.

As Lisa Sigell tells it, "it's a story of courage, inspiration, and the power of love...family, friends and music."

The video, a Warner Bros. Records documentary is entitled "Dear Jack." (McMahon's group is "Jacks Mannequin.")

His record company gave McMahon a camera to document the making of his first solo album ... and the day he finished the album, he was told he was very sick. Several days later, he was told he has leukemia.

Enclosed in this story are links to his site and more information about how to download and/or purchase McMahon's music and his video.

McMahon is donating all his proceeds from the film to his "Dear Jack" foundation.
