It doesn't take long to give your hands that youthful look, no matter what age you are. All you need is 5 minutes to reverse the signs of time.
Paula Moizel has always been happy about her looks, but she feels her hands have lost volume, and the skin is thinner. She would like to see the veins and wrinkles go away.
Using Radiesse, Dermatologist David Amron can plump up Paula's hands and the procedure takes only five minutes.
Dr. Amron injects the filler into the hands by tenting the skin in several places. Lumps of the filler are then massaged into the hands giving it a more youthful, smooth look. Radiesse is FDA approved for use in the smile lines, but Dr. Amron and many others feel this is another effective use, one that is very safe with little chance of complications.
It is possible to get some swelling, a small bruise and in rare cases a tiny nodule can form under the skin. Dr. Amron says that will go away in a few months.
The treatment lasts between $1200 and $2000 dollars. Results last up to a year.
