Race To The OC! Gas Prices Drop There, Inland

SANTA ANA and RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) ―

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County continued its modest decline, according to figures released today by the Oil Price Information Service.

The average price of $4.544 was eight-tenths of a cent lower than Monday and 5.4 cents lower than the record high of $4.598 set June 19. The average is 14.1 cents higher than last month and $1.496 higher than at this time last year.

The average fell one-tenth of a cent Monday after rising seven-tenths of a cent Sunday.

The Los Angeles County average of $4.58 was unchanged since Monday, after falling three-tenths of a cent Monday and six-tenths of a cent Sunday.

The average has fallen 4.6 cents since hitting a record high of $4.626 June 21. However, the average is 15.7 cents higher than last month and $1.482 higher than at this time last year.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire fell slightly, according to figures released today by the Oil Price Information Service.

The average of $4.552 in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is three-tenths of a cent lower than Monday and 6.2 cents lower than the record high of $4.614 set June 22.

The average is 11.7 cents higher than last month and $1.482 higher than at this time last year.

The average rose two-tenths of a cent from Sunday to Monday after falling nine-tenths of a cent from Saturday to Sunday.
