$5 Dining Trend Sweeps The Nation In Tough Times

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― The recession has brought a lot of hardhips to our economy, but let's not forget about some of the brighter sides of tough times like the new $5 dining trend.

Introduced to us first by Subway and their catchy "$5 FOOTLONG" slogan that captured the nation, other restaurants are also jumping on the bargain bandwagon.

Boston Market is now offering a $5 menu with what some people might consider higher quality food.

Also chiming in on the trend is T.G.I. Friday's which is currently introducing a $5 sandwiches and salads for a limited time only. You can choose from a selection of 16 instant classics, 9 being new selections.

This new marketing concept has reeled in customers looking for a good deal while also helping some restaurants stay afloat...making a win win situation for everyone.
