A fire burned about 20 acres near a community college and golf course south of Los Angeles before firefighters snuffed it out. The blaze began shortly after 4:15 p.m. in the Wilmington area.

The blaze began shortly after 4:15 p.m. in the Wilmington area.
Nearly 100 firefighters managed to extinguish the flames that threatened the Harbor Park Municipal Golf Course, just north of Los Angeles Harbor College.
Authorities say no homes were damaged and there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
