Fire Rages Through Valley Glen Home

A fire scorched a home in Valley Glen Saturday morning, leaving the residence heavily damaged but causing no injuries, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at approximately 4:20 a.m. in the 6400 block of North Mary Ellen Avenue, Devin Gales of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Arriving crews reported flames shooting through the roof, Gales said.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze within 22 minutes.
It was unclear if anyone was at home when the fire started.
Investigators were looking for the cause of the fire.
