Firefighters brace for more hot and dry weather today as they work to surround a wildfire in the San Gabriel Mountains.
The blaze has burned 460 acres of parched brush lands on the flanks of Mount Baldy. It's 72 percent, with full containment expected tomorrow evening.
The fire is among several small but dangerous wildfires that broke out in five Southern California counties this week as the region withers in a heat wave expected to last into the weekend.
The National Weather Service says temperatures could reach up to 105 degrees in some areas.
