Quarter-Acre Fire Under Control Fast In Malibu

LOS ANGELES Quick action from 25 Los Angeles firefighters and two water-dropping helicopters extinguished a quarter-acre brush fire near Pacific Coast Highway and Topanga Canyon boulevard Tuesday night.

The fire was reported at 6:25 p.m., Los Angeles fire spokesman Ron Myers said.

The brush was heavy, but the lack of wind helped keep the fire from moving quickly, he said.
