Brush Fire Scorches 20 Acres In O.C. Forest
YORBA LINDA, Calif. (AP) ―
A brush fire has burned nearly 20 acres in hills above eastern Orange County on the fringe of the Cleveland National Forest.
Orange County Fire Authority Battalion Chief Kris Concepcion says the fire broke out shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday on the border between Orange and Riverside counties.
Concepcion says the area is not easily accessible and firefighters are largely relying on hand crews who are hiking into the brush and aircraft that are attacking the flames.
