Firefighters in San Bernardino County say they have contained two fires that threatened to take off during the latest spate of Santa Ana winds.
Glenn Barley of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection says a fire at the base of Mount Baldy, 40 miles east of Los Angeles, is 100 percent contained after burning through 115 acres since Thursday afternoon.
County firefighters say a 250-acre wildfire that blew through brush near Fontana and in the canyons of Rancho Cucamonga is also 100 percent contained.
There were no evacuations and no one was injured in either fire.
The National Weather Service has extended warnings of extreme fire danger for Southern California areas until Sunday evening.
In neighboring Los Angeles County, firefighters knocked down a 100-acre fire near the world-famous Getty Center on Thursday.
