Two brush fires broke out Thursday on both sides of he Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Agua Dulce and Acton, forcing thousands of Leona Valley residents to evacuate. The fires were reported just before 3 p.m. The fire in Agua Dulce, named the "Crown Fire," is burning north of Sierra Highway at Anthony Road. The other fire, called the "BriggsFire," is burning south of the 14 near Soledad Canyon Road, Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Sam Padilla said.
