The celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported in November 2009, that former Miss California Carrie Prejean dropped a planned lawsuit against pageant officials when they, in turn, showed her a solo sex tape (described as "very graphic") that she appeared in. The existence of the tape has since been confirmed by E!, among other news outlets. TMZ said Prejean was first horrified that the tape was being shown to her but then even more horrified when she realized she was the star. Apparently, not wanting information about the tape (or the tape itself to be released) said TMZ, was enough for Prejean to drop her lawsuit.
