Richie Sambora Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI

Bon Jovi guitarist Richard Sambora was released from a Laguna Beach jail Wednesday, about five hours after he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.  

Sambora's black Hummer was straddling lanes on Coast Highway and he was pulled over at 10:52 p.m. Tuesday, according to Laguna Beach police Sgt. Jason Kravetz.  

Sambora then took a blood alcohol test -- the results will not be available for about a week -- and was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence, Kravetz said.

"He was very cooperative," Kravetz said.

Sambora was released from jail about 4 a.m., but will appear in court May 7, Kravetz said.

The Hummer was released to a female passenger and two girls also riding in the vehicle were released to the custody of the woman, Kravetz said.
