25-Year-Old 'Survivor' Winner Claims $1M Prize

NEW YORK (AP) ― Parvati Shallow has won "Survivor: Micronesia — Fans vs. Favorites."

The 25-year-old boxer and charity organizer from Los Angeles outwitted, outlasted and outplayed her competitors for 39 days to claim the CBS reality show's $1 million prize during Sunday's finale.

At the beginning of the 16th season, a tribe of "favorite" former contestants competed against a tribe of "fan" rivals. Shallow previously came in sixth place on "Survivor: Cook Islands."
