Yasbeck Testifies In Ritter's Wrongful Death Case
John Ritter's Widow, Ex-Wife Testify In Court
Family Seeks $67 Million In Medical Trial
GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) ―
John Ritter's widow has resumed testifying in a wrongful-death lawsuit against two of the actor's doctors.
Amy Yasbeck returned to the stand in Glendale Superior Court on Monday and told the jury about the actor's ebullient personality and devotion to his children.
The testimony is intended to support claims for $67 million in damages against a radiologist who performed a body scan on Ritter two years before his death and a cardiologist who treated him the day he died in 2003.
Ritter's former wife, Nancy Ritter, also has testified about Ritter's health worries and his decision to get the body scan. She says that after the scan he told her everything was OK.
The doctor who did the scan has said he warned Ritter about coronary disease. Ritter ultimately died of a torn aorta.
