Brad Renfro Begins Serving Ten-Day Jail Sentence
LOS ANGELES (AP) ―
Actor Brad Renfro has begun serving a ten-day sentence for drunken driving in Los Angeles.
Renfro pleaded no contest to the charge Wednesday and was immediately taken into custody.
Renfro also was ordered to pay a $450 fine, take alcohol education classes for 18 months and serve five years' probation.
The actor, 23, was arrested on a downtown street on Nov. 24th for investigation of driving under the influence.
The month after his DUI arrest, Renfro was taken into custody in a drug sting in the city's Skid Row section. He pleaded guilty last month to attempted possession of heroin and was ordered earlier this week to enter a drug rehabilitation program.
Renfro has appeared in such films as "The Client," "Ghost World" and "The Jacket."
