Kodak EasyShare Gallery announced a change in its policy in March.
On May 16, the company will delete the photo albums belonging to consumers who do not spend at least $4.99 by then and every year thereafter on products or services.
According to the new policy, those who use less than 2 gigabytes of space on Kodak's servers are expected to spend at least $4.99 each year.
Anyone who spends over 2 gigabytes, however, will need to spend $19.99 a year.
Hewlett-Packard Co's Snapfish offers unlimited storage for those who make a yearly purchase at any amount.
Photo sites like,
Google Inc.'s Picasa,
Fotki Inc.,
Yahoo Inc.'s Flickr,
News Corp.'s Photobucket and
Adobe Systems Inc.'s Photoshop offer free services with storage limits.
Shutterfly Inc. and the social-networking site
Facebook also offer unlimited photo storage.
