The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County declined Sunday for the 29th consecutive day, dropping three-tenths of a cent to $2.854.
According to figures from AAA and Oil Price Information Service, the average price is 4.3 cents less than a week ago, 17.2 cents less than a month ago and $1.625 less than a year ago.
In Orange County, the average decline Sunday for the 28th time in 30 days was three-tenths of a cent to $2.843.
The decreases were the result of plentiful supplies and flat demand, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
