Attention all youths---Enter the Get To Know Contest, which has recently launched in the U.S for the first time, and is currently accepting applications. This is an invitiation for the youth (age 18 and younger) to go outside (or a zoo, aquarium, or museum) to "get to know" their wild neighbors, and then to share their experience with the world by creating an original work of art, photography, or writing and then entering their creation in the contest. Hundreds of thousands of youth have already submitted entries crafted from moments of inspiration spent in nature. All submissions must be postmarked no later than November 30, 2009. Knott's Berry Farm continues it's tradition of honoring the brave mena dn women who have served in the U.S military, both past and present, with free admission during its 20th annual "Veteran's Tribute."
