High-Speed Pursuit On 10 Freeway Ends Peacefully

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― California Highway Patrol officers Friday chased a speeding car on the San Bernardino 10 Freeway from the Banning area to downtown Los Angeles, where the motorist was arrested, authorities said.

The pursuit ended shortly after 12 p.m. near First and Spring streets, when the woman stopped her Dodge Stratus and was taken into custody, CHP Officer Krystal Carter said.

She was apparently being followed by CHP officers for an initial speeding violation, Carter said.

Her name was not immediately released.
