A driver in a silver Scion led authorities on a wild high-speed chase topping 100 mph and circling patrol vehicles on the freeway.
The chase started in the Long Beach area early Friday morning, with the driver traveling eastbound on the 22 Freeway, where light morning traffic allowed the driver to weave in and out of cars.
The pursuit continued to the 55 and 241 freeways in Orange County before ending in the Rancho Santa Margarita area.
At one point, the driver wove circles around police, leaning out of her car, appearing to yell and gesticulate at officers. No other drivers were injured.
The driver was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute and is accused of assaulting a police officer responding to the dispute. She was later identified as Peggy Ann Boesing, 47, of Signal Hill.
