A pair of suspected car thieves led police on a chase from Van Nuys through North Hollywood Friday night before being arrested.
The chase began at 8:20 p.m. when the two suspects stole a gray sports-utility vehicle from the area near the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Victory Boulevard, Los Angeles police spokesman Officer Jason Lee said.
The drive weaved his way through surface streets and eventually abandoned the SUV near the intersection of Victory and Lankershim boulevards at 8:38 p.m.
One suspect was arrested just after jumping out. Police set up a perimeter and searched the area, including a search of a nearby apartment building.
The second suspect was caught about 9:30 p.m., Lee said.
No one was hurt in either the chase or the suspect search.
