Suspects Lead Police On Wild, High-Speed Chase

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) ―

Authorities Thursday arrested two men who led police officers on a high-speed chase on Interstate 5 after the suspects refused to pull over for a traffic violation.

The chase started about 10:30 p.m. Thursday on I-5 in Tustin and ended 20 minutes later in Santa Fe Springs when the driver lost control of the car and plunged down an embankment, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Alex Gonzalez.

Speeds reaches more than 100 miles per hour.

Both the driver and the passenger suffered minor injuries.

The suspects' identities were not immediately released.
