2 Suspects Still At Large Following South LA Chase
LOS ANGELES (AP) ―
Authorities are searching for up to two burglary suspects in Los Angeles and have taken another into custody after pursuing the suspects' car over freeways and on surface streets.
Sheriff's Sgt. Ralph Gama says one man was placed in custody Monday after he jumped out of the vehicle near 61st and Hoover in South Los Angeles. The man scrambled onto rooftops and over fences
before officers caught up to him. A local dog chased the man at one
point.
Gama says a perimeter has been set up in the area, with authorities looking for up to two more male suspects.
He says the men broke into a home in Norwalk, but the residents were home and the suspects fled. Sheriff's deputies and California Highway Patrol officers gave chase on the 60 Freeway to the southbound 605, then to the 105 Freeway and the 110 Freeway before the car exited in South L.A.
