Vera Jimenez
Vera Jimenez, Southern California's most-watched early morning TV traffic reporter joined the CBS 2 News team in 2002. She loves helping people get from here to there, and while it may not always be great news, she'll always get you from here to there with a smile.
Vera joined CBS 2 after having spent two years as a traffic reporter for KABC-TV in Los Angeles and several years as a traffic reporter, air borne reporter and producer for several LA radio stations including CBS 2's sister station KNX Radio.
Always growing, developing and staying busy, she's moving into a new area as "weatherman," filling in when needed.
She was born in Mexico and moved to Garden Grove, California at the age of three with her mom and five siblings. She lived there until moving to LA.
A graduate of Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove, Vera earned her A.A. from Santa Ana Community College, graduated with honors from Cal State Long Beach, where she earned her B.A. in Religious Studies, and this year she will be earning her Meteorology Certificate from Mississippi State University.
