Vera Jimenez

Vera Jimenez, Southern California's most-watched early morning TV traffic reporter, joins the CBS 2 News team on Monday, January 19.  She joins Kent Shocknek, Suzanne Rico and Henry DiCarlo behind the anchor desk to launch the station's new "CBS 2 Time Saver Traffic" reports, utilizing state-of-the-art technology, during the station's weekday morning newscasts.

Jimenez is joining CBS 2 after having spent the past two years as a traffic reporter for KABC-TV in Los Angeles.

Jimenez, who was born in Mexico and moved to Garden Grove, California at the age of three, broke into the news business as a traffic producer.  Her background includes work as an airborne traffic reporter for CBS 2's sister station KNX Radio.

A graduate of Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove, Jimenez earned her A.A. from Santa Ana Community College and graduated with honors from Cal State Long Beach, where she earned her B.A.
