Mia Lee
Mia Lee anchors the Noon, 2 and 3 p.m newscasts.
She joined the station in 1997 as a general assignment reporter. Lee came to KCAL 9 from KUSI-TV, San Diego and prior to KUSI, she worked at FOX-TV in Sacramento. She began her reporting career in Hartford, Connecticut at WVIT, an NBC affiliate.
Lee was born in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in Southern California. She moved to New York City to study interior design at Parson's School of Design, and later transferred to New York University where she received her B.A. in Journalism.
Lee has been a recipient of the prestigious Golden Mike Award for anchoring KCAL 9 News at 2PM. In addition to her professional duties, Lee enjoys taking part in community affairs.
