Glen Walker

Glen Walker joined the CBS 2 News team in September of 2002. He is the weekend anchor for CBS 2 and the KCAL 9 news weekend report. He also files reports during the week for both CBS 2 News and KCAL 9 News.

Walker came back home to Southern California from WNBC-TV in New York City where he began as the weekend sports anchor in September of '95. He then made a successful transition to news serving as co-host of the No. 1-rated "Saturday and Sunday Today in New York." He was later promoted to the weekend editions of Newschannel 4 at 6 & 11.

From September of '90 to August of '95 Walker was an anchor and reporter at Prime Ticket Network here in Los Angeles. Along with the award winning "Press Box" nightly sports show, Walker also hosted "L.A. Raiders Magazine" and College Football Today.

Prior to Prime Sports, Walker worked at WIVB-TV in Buffalo, NY, WGXA-TV & WPEX-Radio in Macon, Georgia, WJHG-TV in Panama City Berach, Florida, WTXL-TV in Tallahassee, Fla., and Florida Public Broadcasting.

Walker has won numerous awards throughout his career, including a 1998 New York Emmy for his coverage of Pope John Paul's visit to Cuba, but no story was bigger than Sept. 11. Walker co-anchored WNBC-TV's live breaking news coverage of the attack on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the aftermath for which WNBC-TV won several awards.

He also received a Los Angeles Emmy, several UPI national, AP New York awards and for an unprecedented three years in a row from 1993 to 1995, he was part of the "Best Anchor Team" as named by the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Association.

Walker is a proud graduate of Florida State University. He has two children.
