Dave Mecham
Dave grew up in Spokane, Washington and attended schools in Honolulu, Seattle, Santa Barbara and Northridge.
Dave worked for several years in television production and distribution in Hollywood including E! Entertainment Television.
He also reported for Leeza Gibbons and Robin Leach on their syndicated radio programs.
Dave's local news experience includes big stories and little ones. And although they haven't won any Emmy awards, Dave's favorite stories very often include animals; bears around Lake Tahoe, the alligator named Reggie in San Pedro, and a cat stuck in a tree.
In 2006, he studied at the Poynter Institute, a journalism "think tank" in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Before arriving at KCBS and KCAL, Dave worked at TV stations in Tennessee, Southwest Florida, and the "Biggest Little City in the World" Reno, Nevada.
