Christina McLarty

Christina joined CBS 2 News as an entertainment reporter in January of 2007.

Previously she served as a lifestyle correspondent for CBS 11 News in Dallas/Fort Worth, covering arts, fashion, food, entertainment and culture. In addition to her CBS 11 News responsibilities, Christina McLarty was the executive producer and host of TXA 21's "Buzzed into DFW" segments, which air weekdays during "The Daily Buzz." Christina also hosted "Time Out with Coach Johnson," a show centered around the Dallas Mavericks.  Christina often traveled with the team, providing a behind the scenes glimpse into life on the road with the NBA.

Before Dallas, Christina worked as a General Assignment Reporter for KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas. Christina's family is originally from Arkansas. Christina covered everything from duck hunting to Wesley Clark's campaign. She even scored a one-on-one sit down interview with the former first lady to Arkansas and the nation, Senator Hillary Clinton.

Christina attended New York University, majoring in Broadcast Journalism and English.  While attending college in New York City, Christina interned for MTV, E!, and Senator Hillary Clinton. She also served as Associate Fashion Editor to Gear Magazine and conducted fashion interviews for "Fashion File" on E! Entertainment.  Christina also contributed reports to Channel One News.

Christina's passion is interviewing, and her most notable subjects so far are President Bill Clinton, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Diane Sawyer, Clint Eastwood, Warren Beatty and Annette Benning, and the list goes on. Christina is thrilled to be back in Los Angeles. She lived here during her elementary school years, attending St. Michaels and All Angels School.  In her free time, Christina enjoys cooking, reading, checking out the local farmers markets, and tending to her 4-year-old Basset Hound. His name is Snoop Dog (I know embarrassing!) and he is a survivor of cancer.
