BB9 Blog: Josh's Tears Dry On Their Own
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
So honestly, if two months ago I had told you that Sheila and Adam would be the only original couple left in the house when it came down to the last 6 players, would you have believed me? No. You would have said that that was crazy talk! The pair that started out the most antagonistic and ill-matched and annoying? It's crazy that they're both even there, but it's equally amusing that they are not threatened whatsoever. Just goes to show that you can't predict this, er, show.
Anyway, we started tonight's episode with Josh and Sharon on the block. These BFFs have had a rough week on slop, and now they have to campaign against each other. Lots of tears. Sharon doesn't want to campaign against poor Josh, because she feels like she needs to protect him. Little does she know that this scheming boy is ready, willing and potentially able to throw her under the bus.
Josh told us,
back in the day, that he loves the Soaps. Now he's gotten his chance to get a good start on his reel, particularly when he conjured up the fake tears for Adam. Gotta hand it to Josh. He's been a mean little brat for a great deal of this game, but the kid IS smart and crafty. By the end of this exchange, Adam is wiping Josh's nose and saying that maybe he'll give him a sympathy vote. Someone give this boy a Daytime Emmy!
Meanwhile Natalie, the worst secret-keeper ever, doesn't know what to do about this possible "deal with the devil" she's made to keep Josh over Sharon. So she decides to tell Sharon all about it! Thus Sharon's naïve trust in Josh comes to a screeching halt when she finds out that he is aggressively campaigning against her.
Sharon, Natalie and Sheila decide to impose a little "girl power!" in the house, and vow to remain united against all those big lumbering boys that would try to target them. They've had it, Josh is done. D-U-N!
Josh, naturally, knows nothing of this, and turns off the tears for James, bragging to him that Natalie will keep him. James is genuinely surprised and impressed that Josh pulled it off.
Joshuah: "Sharon needs to go. I'm tired of babysitting her. I'm looking forward to Wednesday."
Then he does that little hand-into-gun-shape gesture
POW! Which, coming from him seems actually believable and creepy, n'est pas?
We get some time meeting Josh's sweet mother and father, who seem very confused by their son's on-screen behavior. Mom insists that her child isn't really like that telling Amanda she's a horse, giddy-up!, telling Allison she's an ugly dog, etc. and that mom and hubby often have to watch the show with one-eye covered.
No doubt they watched the night's eviction in the same pose because, not surprisingly, Josh is voted out 3-1, with only James keeping his word. James' word is quite interesting, isn't it?
Josh also continues with the new trend of giving long-winded, convoluted speeches before and after evictions. He talks about roller coasters, loving everyone and even paraphrases a little Shakespeare with some "This above all; to thine own self be true" exclamations.
Sheila is particularly moved by his empowering words. Of course she is. She is one lucky lady to have hung on this long, in light of the fact that she can't win competitions, is extremely obvious in her flip-flopping loyalties and is basically a creepy, negative person all around. But it looks like she's in for at least one more week of coasting through, because former partner Adam wins the HOH competition again.
Adam seemed to be worried about the possibility of a "women vs. men" uprising in the house, so it'll certainly be interesting to see who his choices for eviction are. Will he target the girls or will he, like so many others before him, attempt to get rid of James
again? But if he does decide to go after some girls, is he man enough to take out "Ma!"?
Josh is gone, we're getting down to the wire, so what are you thinking? And what are you thinking about Julie's needling Natalie about Matt and Chelsia sequestered together. Are those two hooking up?
Let me know!
