BB9 Blog: Kisses, Conniving And Clues!

 Complete 'Big Brother' News

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― Tonight's episode was chock full of stuff, wasn't it? Screaming, kissing, sirens and shouting, and then we even got that interruption regarding the Super Tuesday II results. I mean, I care about the election and everything, but gosh, we almost missed the veto ceremony!!

I kid, of course. Though I did have a few worried friends call me and say, "Wait.. are we missing the end of the show???" Ah.. patriotism.

Anyway, instead of giving you the usual play-by-play, I'm gonna break down the best scenes from tonight's episode, cause there were some fun ones.

1) The Veto Competition

Gotta hand it to the Challenge Producer, or whoever handles the creation of the various competitions. This one was entertaining. The girls were all hoisted into the air on pullies, and the guys were connected to the other end. When they ran away, the girls were yanked upward. And upward they went toward a puzzle in the air that needed be solved, by way of the guys running back and forth on the ground, bringing pieces.

Two things stuck out to me while watching. One was that none of the guys looked all that tired from carrying the extra weight of the girls, despite the fact that it must have been somewhat exhausting.

Two was Allison's insane shrieking. She basically blasted humpback mating-calls at poor workhorse Ryan the entire time. And after that whole near-deaf experience, those two still didn't win.

Nope. They lost to Matt and Natalie, who once again proved their physical dominance over the house. It also showed just how synced up this couple is.

Matt: "Thank God Natalie has that type of...her brain works in an honest way."
Natalie: "I've never seen Matty so happy with me. He tackled me like a football player. I'm probably going to have a couple bruises from it from him because he's so beefcake-like."

2) Matt's Good-Will Campaign

Matt decides that despite the fact that he won the veto competition and will obviously be removing himself and Natalie from the block, he still needs to nurture his relationships with other people in the house.

His first stop is the HOH room, where he removes his shirt and does a sexy dance for Joshuah and Sharon. "Matty's off the blockkkk!"
He tells the diary room that when it comes to Joshuah, he "tries to appeal to his gay side." He gives Joshuah a plucky kiss on the mouth to prove it.

Matt then visits with Ryan and Allison, both of whom are upset that their time in the house is very quickly (seemingly) coming to an end. To Ryan, he plays the "We're Bros" game, and with Allison, he gives her some words of wisdom he's learned from his visit with Joshuah.
Matt: "Gay guys are like women. You have to get on his gay side and you'll be alright."

Matt's final stop is a return to the HOH room where he stats to sweet-talk Sharon. She's an odd one. Thus far, Sharon, despite being partnered with ole' foot-in-the-mouth hot-head Joshuah, has positioned herself as a quiet, puppeteer, mastering Josh's outbursts and directing him from overhead. Matt decides that he'll use good, old-fashioned playah-style on her.
Matt: "With Sharon, I have to use my charm and make her think I care about her, which I don't."

He uses a time-tested tactic of talking about how hard it is having to deal with Natalie liking him so much. He tries to be a good guy and swallow her advances, but he's just not attracted to her. (Not so coincidentally -- because she's everywhere! -- Natalie comes to the room looking for Matt at that moment, but he hides in the bathroom.)

Kind of out of nowhere, Matt jumps on Sharon and they make out. Matt thinks he's pulled his scheme off. Sharon, well-aware of Matt's tricky plan, is on the exact same page.
Sharon: "If that's part of your game to romance me.. fine whatever, I will play the card while you're trying to play me."

3) The Mystery Noise

Ahah! BB has totally set us up (I hope) for some serious twist-action on Wednesday night. The houseguests come in from outside to find a note that says, "Sometime in the coming weeks, you'll hear a distinct sound. (alarms). You will need to gather here in the living room and wait for an important announcement."

No one has any idea what this must be, but Allison is sure that somehow she'll benefit from the noise, and Matt is sure that he'll miss his big Veto ceremony. (For the record, he doesn't. The ceremony goes on, he and Natalie are off, and Sheila and Adam are up.) Still, the house is now on edge, fearing the worst. Nuclear fallout or a virus -- as per the Jericho-themed newsflash they received last week.

So those were my three faves. Did you enjoy different ones, such as "Thanks, Wall!" or Natalie's increasingly creepy insistence that Matt could be her soul-mate? Let me know, and let's see what Wednesday night's live-eviction, certain shake-up will bring. Remember also to visit our poll on the Big Brother homepage -- what will the new twist be??
