BB10: Who Will Win? And Then There Were 2...

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― Dan or Memphis? That's the only remaining question in "Big Brother 10" and the answer will be known next Tuesday.

Jerry was sent packing Thursday night. No surprise there. The "Renegade Alliance" (aka Dan and Memphis) were plotting together from week 4.

The only surprise is that they were able to keep it from their fellow houseguests for so long.

Jerry looked blindsided when he got evicted. But by the time he joined Julie Chen for his goodbye chat, he seemed to get that he was being dragged along and lied to by Memphis for the last few weeks.

Jerry believes he will be the tie-breaking vote to decide who wins the $500,000 prize -- Dan or Memphis?

A lot will depend, of course, on which of the seven jury members are willing to let bygones be bygones. One of the beauties of "Big Brother" jury voting is that by this stage, most, if not all, of the jury members have some kind of personal ax to grind with the final two.

Here is an educated guess as to who will walk home with the big prize ($500,000) and who will come in second and win a not-too-shabby $50,000.

MEMPHIS: Who would have ever guessed the dry-witted "mixologist" would be so good at game play? He always seemed so laid back, which worked to his advantage. With his aw-shucks demeanor, even his best friends in the house (see Dan) didn't know they were sometimes being played. Jerry will clearly end up in the jury house. And who does Jerry vote for in a Dan vs. Memphis finale: he called one a Judas and got into screaming matches with the other. On Thursday's show, Jerry seemed to find a soft spot for Memphis and Memphis went all goo-goo on Jerry in good-bye video. But will Jerry buy it when he hears from the other jury members. Jerry likes Memphis more than Dan, it would be hard to think of him voting for Dan, even if Dan was the mastermind. By voting Keesha out Tuesday, Memphis has her blood on her hands. She vowed not to vote for him and Keesha was always pretty persuasive with the other houseguests. Michelle and April HATE Keesha, and it's not likely she could persuade them. Michelle was closer to Memphis but Dan took her on the luxury trip. She might see that as transparent. Odds: 3-2

DAN: When the game started, Dan was probably -- next to Jerry and Renny -- the least likely houseguest to be in the final four. For one thing, he admittedly blew some challenges, slept through some others and did nothing to make the others think he was a strong player. Kinda brilliant when you think about it. He turned out to be a true mastermind. But Dan also sold himself to the other houseguests as the "nice" Catholic school teacher who would never betray them. Like Dr. Will before him, Dan learned the art of backstabbing people -- to their face -- and remaining charming while doing so. That's an art.
As for the jury, Dan also made valuable inroads with Keesha. All the while he was plotting with Memphis as part of the Renegade Alliance, he got Memphis to do the dirty work and evict Keesha. Renny will follow Keesha. Keesha was always pretty persuasive with Libra. Odds: 1-1

THE JURY: Are any votes a lock? "Big Brother" is always full of surprises. After cursing, insulting and berating his way through the house in "BB8" did anyone think Evel Dick would win so handily. Sometimes the beaten-down jury members have to pay proper props to the people who vanquished them.
If the jury in "BB10" rewards the player who played the best, that would have to be Dan. If they vote for the player who played most stealthily and sneaky, that would have to be Memphis, who, in fact, never won a HoH throughout the competition.
While Dan played under the radar for the first half, he did step up and win a bunch of challenges and he might be rewarded for that. Then again, April is the wild card and the type of player who seems to hold a grudge. She's been in the jury house for weeks, and she is still talking about how much she hates Keesha (Get over it, April!)
But here is our educated guess how the vote will break down when all is said and done (and note, last year we were SURE Adam would lose to Ryan.) In other words, don't quite bet the house on this unscientific wild guess.
PRO DAN: Keesha, Renny, Libra
PRO MEMPHIS: Jerry, April, Ollie
SWINGTIME: Michelle votes for Dan because she ultimately decides he was the better player. AND the luxury trip didn't hurt.

Dan wins "BB10" 4-3...
