First of all I'd like to start by saying great job the Robin Kass for casting what seems to be a great mixture of quirky, good-looking people for this season's eco-friendly house. I thought that almost all 12 of the houseguests were very social, funny, and super excited to get into the house and kick some BB butt.
To my surprise each person was pretty familiar with the show, some being avid fans for a long time, and the ones who weren't were in the process of getting old Big Brother shows (BB5 being the popular choice says the newbie's) shoved down their throat in preparation before the big move-in day.
Here is my breakdown of each houseguest.
Braden I suppose if you like that stereotypical blonde, beach-going surfer dude, this guy is as close as you can get. As he is clearly confident about his appearance, I thought Braden was really nice and somewhat down to earth. My guess is he'll want to kill time in a shomance with Laura.
Kevin The second Kevin walked into the room, he was as vivacious as I was hoping he would be and as fabulous as he said he was. Anyone who describes themselves as inappropriate automatically shoots to the top of my favorite list. I look forward to his cattiness as long as he doesn't use personal attacks.
Laura My interview with Laura was a little odd at first. I felt like she was answering questions before I even got them out of my mouth. Almost like a robot. But I think she is fierce and hungry for the grand prize and nothing else, and will definitely give Janelle a run for her money as far as most competitive female goes. However, she seems to think her looks will carry her through the game, and with this group that might be tougher than she thinks. I've never seen a body win Big Brother before.
Russel "Russell the Lovemuscle" who says he's not to sure where the nickname came from (although my guess is probably the same as everyone else's) was pleasant to chat with. I thought he was very down to earth, mellow, had a laugh that was contagious and definitely would be someone I would hang out with in my normal day-to-day life.
Jordan Jordan reminded me instantly of April from BB10, minus the part where she says she will not have sex in the big brother house. She's a sweet, naïve small town girl who will hopefully so NO WAY to any shomances!
Natalie Natalie was my hardest interview. She seemed to be in a place of focus that maybe the others weren't. But her quiet nature doesn't fool me. She'll end up being the feisty Latina who's in your face ready to call you out. Not to mention I'm sure she'll be an amazing physical competitor due to the fact she's a World Champion bronze medalist in Tae Kwon Do.
Michelle Oh how I adore her. I'm very excited to see if her expertise in Neuroscience will knock out the mental competition. As a self-proclaimed nerd, I think she can use that to her advantage, letting all the other type A personalities rip each other's throats out. Not to mention I can't picture her being me to a single sole, so that could be vital.
Jeff What a hottie and I will be the first one to say it! Now if I was single I'm sure it's obvious that I would convince him to move to L.A. and be my cuddle buddy. What can I say to someone who can admit that they wear their heart on their sleeve, and everyone knows I'm a sucker for the boys. (well not anymore
I now have one with a personality thank goodness
no offense Drew) I think he's got the gift of hindsight, which could take him far, and I can't really see him being in too many altercations.
Chima Another favorite of mine! I think Chima has experienced a great deal in life so far it seems, which could help her deal with other people. She's an L.A. local so I know there's not one personality you can throw in her face that she hasn't seen or dealt with. She's a little older than the other girls, but doesn't look a day over 18, and with age comes wisdom. I'm just hoping she stays bubbly, nice, and rallies the girls when needed.
Ronnie Studies often show that video games can make a person smarter; however, I'm not so sure World of Warcraft counts in those studies. But I absolutely 100% adore Ronnie and I hope that he doesn't have trouble relating to the other houseguests. If he can overcome this, than I think he can slide his way to the end. Not to mention being a national champion is speech and debate probably can't hurt his game play and mind-manipulating the competition. Unfortunately the uber Big Brother fans never seem to make it very far. I'll be rooting for you!
Lydia I think Lydia is going to remind us all of the great mastermind herself, Nakomis, and I swear I'm not just saying that because they have the same kind of look. She is sweet, kind-hearted, quiet, funny, laid back, and surely not going to be one to enjoy confrontations.
Casey I don't even know where to begin with this guy, besides the fact that he is my favorite out of the entire cast. He's an Evil Dick but sedated just a tad. And you know he has to be the coolest 5th grade teacher in the world. With his motto being "refuse to lose" I would not doubt it in the slightest if this guy is $500K richer at the end of September. My money is on him.
Jeff and Casey are clearly my favorites, and I will also be rooting for Michele, Chima, and Ronnie as well. So good luck to all this year's houseguests!
