BB10 Blog: Brian Gets 'Socked!'
STUDIO CITY (CBS) ―
Online news producers and cubicle matesĀ
Jenn McBride and
Sarah Wulfeck IM each other and wrap-up each week's "Big Brother 10" drama. Expect the unexpected!
SARAH: OMG, I just watched Big Brother 10!
JENN: So did I... This season rocks. And I'm so glad Brian was evicted. What a sleaze.
SARAH: See, I liked him and thought he was funny (sock puppets!), but he did make the serious mistake of trying to make too many alliances too fast. That's been the historical no-no of the game.
JENN: Yes, the sock puppets were awesome and he grew on me a little once he was nominated for eviction. I just really didn't like the way he played everyone, especially Jerry. How tacky and dishonorable to break a military vow.
SARAH: You think Jerry was tacky and dishonorable? Or Brian?
JENN: Brian! Speaking of puppets, he made Jerry his real-life puppet and totally betrayed him. The worst of it was that he made Jerry to feel as if he had done something wrong when Brian was put on the block.
SARAH: Yah, but that's just the game. That's what he was saying -- you can't really have scruples if you really want to get ahead. There are more covert ways of doing it, though. Brian is certainly no Dr. Will.
JENN: No. I'm glad he's gone, but I'm interested to see what happens this week with Jessie as HoH.
SARAH: Jessie reminds me of the Disney character "Gaston" from Beauty and the Beast... you know... "I use antlers in all of my decoratinggggg!!!" A big meathead.
JENN: Totally! I can see him swallowing eggs whole. I don't see any of the "belles" in the house falling for him. He's just too arrogant. How about Ollie and April? They're off to a hot start!
SARAH: Except maybe April. She sure glommed onto Ollie fast. Although, he did warn Diane and I in our initial interview that "sex is his kryptonite." He wasted no time. Haha. See, we're on the same page!
JENN: Yeah, and she let Jerry touch her boob (gross!)
SARAH: She let EVERYONE touch her boobs!
JENN: I wonder what is going to happen to Renny this week. As bizarre as she is, I don't think people consider her to be a threat.
SARAH: I can see Renny going bonkers at some point. She definitely wears crazy as well as her costumes.
JENN: And she always seems drunk.
SARAH: No, neither she nor Jerry are considered threats. I wonder how Dan will do now that his buddy Brian is gone.
JENN: Jessie is a threat, though, with those huge biceps. He's just so intimidating.
SARAH: Jessie really is quite immature. I love how he immediately started making fun of Renny's age when she pissed him off. Whatever.
JENN: I think Dan will be fine with Brian gone because he's kept his word so far. At least he's trustworthy (for now).
SARAH: We'll see. He might have painted himself as a Brian ally now and forever and no one will trust him.
JENN: That was so dumb. I hate it when dumb people result to low blows or vulgarity. The only thing she did wrong was laugh like a hyena.
SARAH: Anyway, I think the girls are the ones to watch. Particularly Libra. She's the smartest person in the house, in my opinion.
JENN: I think so, too. She figured Brian out almost instantly. Keesha and April are going to pull each other's hair out.
SARAH: And she's very logical and conveys her point to the other girls without getting emotional. Exactly -- she already knows that those two have screws loose. I think Libra would be better to align with Angie. She seems even-keeled.
JENN: She definitely does. I think Michelle is really kicked back, too.
SARAH: I agree. So do we think there are any other love connections possible? Besides Ollie and April.
JENN: Well, I think those two might each move on to others...
SARAH: True. They don't strike me as lasting more than a few weeks.
JENN: No, definitely not. There are quite a few marrieds, too. I think Jessie is going to be an obnoxious HoH.
SARAH: This is kind of an icky picture but I could see April eventually moving in on Jessie. (Guess it's pretty obvious that we don't like either of those two!)
JENN: When we were in the house for press day, Kevin Frazier was a REALLY FUN HoH. Jessie doesn't seem like he cares about anyone but himself: He doesn't really have any major connections and he immediately passed up a chance to bond with the others when he decided not to play in the car game.
SARAH: Just really young and socially awkward. We felt that way at the initial interview when he sat down and the first thing he said to us was, "I'm not gay!!" Even Steven, who is gay, didn't talk about it first and foremost.
JENN: Exactly, because he wanted people to just get to know him first. I like him.
SARAH: Me too. He's adorable.
JENN: I feel like there are a lot more girls than guys. If another guy goes home this week, the men will be outnumbered!
SARAH: Because the girls seem more unified. SO... who do you think Jessie will nominate for eviction?
JENN: I sure hope Jerry is safe after everyone promised him we wouldn't go home this week! I worry about him in the challenges... he fell out of the car in the first game.
SARAH: He might do Jerry (cause he nominated him) and Renny cause he doesn't like her... Everyone will hate him for nominating Jerry though.
JENN: I think Jerry, too. He didn't like Jerry's explanation of why he was put on the block the previous week. I think Jerry is going up and whoever else goes up is totally dunzo.
SARAH: But I think the house would work hard to keep Jerry. Just not sure who would win a veto competition -- Jerry or Renny. Neither strike me as particularly strong competitors yet.
JENN: I think everyone respects Jerry, doesn't see him as a threat and wants to keep their word. If they are smart, they will keep them. They are the weakest players by far.
SARAH: Well Jerry isn't a threat. There's no point in evicting him. Or Renny for that matter. It's usually much later in the game that the weakest people are kicked off. Keeping them around is only a good asset for the strong ones.
JENN: I guess we'll just have to see what happens next week.
SARAH: But an exciting season so far. Not having a big twist (yet) is allowing us to concentrate on the basic strategy. I approve!
JENN: Me, too! I'm definitely entertained, but after spending a day in the house, I'm really jealous. I wish I was in there with all of them.
SARAH: Who knows... Julie Chen could call you up and ask you to make a surprise appearance!
JENN: Yeah, right! She looks awesome this season, by the way!
SARAH: She always does! Okay, talk to you next Thursday!
