Hasn't Spent A Dime? Catchin' Up With Adam BB9
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
DH: So first off, congratulations
what was you first big purchase you made with all that money, and please tell us something good?
Adam: To be honest I haven't bought anything at all. I've really been too busy to even think about something I'd want to buy. I guess a house would be nice, nothing too big, just something I could rest my head in and know it's all mine.
DH: What exactly do you credit your winning the game to? Strategy for instance?
Adam: I think a little strategy and a lot of luck go a long way in the BB House. Of course I had a strategy coming into to the game, but once you're in the house, everything changes and it's hard to stay the course with the same strategy. So you have to change, adapt, and adopt new plans every day. Luckily for me I guessed right most of the time and came out on top.
DH: Do you think you played an all-around better game than Ryan?
Adam: Ryan played a great game, no doubt. That's a tough question to really answer because I think we played two completely opposite games. I tried to promise no one anything while at the same time going with the will of house. Ryan, on the other hand, tried to promise everyone everything, which of course I didn't really find out about until the show ended. Ryan had alliances with just about everyone in the house, and I think that could have been a smart move and it seemed to work, I mean he made it to the final 2, but in a sense it backfired at the end when everyone realized it in the sequester house. But all said, Ryan played an excellent game.
DH: Are you and Sheila still "besties"?
Adam: I don't really talk to Sheila actually. I guess she's busy with her life and so am I. I'm sure at some point I'll visit LA and we'll have dinner and catch up.
DH: How did you honestly feel about all the sex acts going on in the house? I mean we all do it but you have to have a certain respect for people like your parents watching your every move right?
Adam: I'm the last person to tell anyone what they can or can not do or say. Everyone's actions have their own consquences that they have to deal with at some point or another, but just because I wasn't involved in any on air cuddle muffins doesn't mean I was bothered by anything else any one else did. To each his own.
DH: Have you seen Crazy Jame's gay porno? Any thoughts on that?
Adam: Yeah someone showed me when I came out of the house. Like I said before, I'm in no position to say what's right for another person. I didn't really have a problem with it or James, and it's really not my place to say anything even if I did. I would't want anyone to judge me so harshly about something I did or said.
DH: Tell us about your charity work and if you really got fired for accidentally using the word "retard."
Adam: Speaking of harsh. Yes, I was fired for that unfortunate incident. I really enjoyed working there and I really wanted to try to represent them the best I could and make some good come about it, but when I left the house and found out how they completely turned their backs on me I was a little hurt. I wish I could go back in time and change what I said, but what's done is done. I hold autisic children and and parents of autisic children in the highest esteem. I would
never intentionally do anything to hurt them or make them feel like I didn't have their backs 100%.
DH: Did you give any money to charity yet like you said you would?
Adam: My original plan was to donate money to the organization that I worked for before entering the house, but after I learned how they treated me while I was still in the house, my plans changed. I'm in the process of trying to find a charity to work with and donate to, and barring that I will start my own charity, then at least I know the money is going directly and immediately to helping children.
DH: Now that you've been out of the house for a bit how has the BB fame been? Any funny fan stories? (Don't forget to always be good to your fans.)
Adam: Oh I love my fans. They're the best. I'm always happy to take a picture or sign something, anything for my fans. I have tons of crazy fan stories, but I can't divulge much more than that if you know what I mean. Babies make the best fans.
DH: Any fan-hater stories, death threats, or nasty myspace messages?
Adam: Not as much as I thought there would be. I thought the fall-out from my unfortunate comment would have brought a lot more hate than it did, but I think everyone pretty much realized that I didn't mean to offend anyone and I really am just a nice guy. But yeah occaisionally you get hate mail, but it doen't bother me in the least.
DH: Who from your show do you see yourself staying friends with? Who have you met from other shows that you like or dislike?
Adam: Definitely Matty and I are friends and will stay that way. We recently went to Vegas and I'm sure I'll go visit him or vice versa. I still talk to Ryan, but mostly text messages. Occassionally, I'll get calls from other people on the show, but it's rare. I haven't really met anyone else from any other show, but I heard Diane from BB5 is pretty awesome.
DH: She is! Tell us what you are doing now?
Adam: Getting ready to go out, of course!
DH: Thanks so much Adam! Let's talk again soon...and talk in person!
